2018 CAPTAINS CHARITY DOO
01/08/2018: After the fabulous debut success of our 2017 Captains Charity Night, we have decided to keep this tradition up.
Not only is it a brilliant way to raise much needed funds for our Captains chosen charity, but it is also an opportunity for Bunkers members and their wives/partners and friends to all get together for a social evening involving music, laughter and alcohol.
If you are interested in coming along to this event it will be at:
GATHURST GOLF CLUB on Friday 16th November 2018 - doors opening at 7pm.
You can purchase tickets for £15 per person by contacting us HERE or message Dan Alexander or any of the committee members via text

NEW 2018 WEBSITE
24/01/2018: At 7pm our new website launched for 2018. Not that there was anything particularly wrong with the old one, but it felt right that it should be freshened up. Also, some issue with old software and providers has brought about a change quicker than expected.
The new site will allow members to sign in to their own account and see special member discounts and deals as well as being able to notify us if they are playing events directly from the club pages. There is a page about our HISTORY and also all our PREVIOUS YEARS for members to reminisce.
As always, if members [or visitors] have suggestions to make things better, let us know - CONTACT US
CAPTAIN V PRESIDENT 2018 TEAMS
24/01/2018: The teams for the Captain v's Presidents competition in 2018 were decided based upon the finishing positions of members in the Order of Merit.
A coin was tossed and The President had 1st place, meaning he took all the odd numbers in the Order of Merit and The Captain took all the events. Any players who have now left the society were filled by the new members in order of their joining date.

BUNKERS RETAIN THE TROPHY
25/03/2017: After weeks of build up and practice the Bunkers team set off to Llandudno on 23rd March to play 3 days of competitive golf against our annual foes, The Grimshaw Golf Society. Day 1 at Abergele was comprehensively won 5-1 by Bunkers, and Day 2 was all square at 3-3 making it 8-4 to Bunkers going into the last day. However, The Grimshaw battled hard and fought back to make it a tight finish with Bunkers just nicking it 13-11 to retain the trophy for another 12 months.
Who'd have thought after all the weeks of shocking weather in the build up that we would have enjoyed sunny days and sunburn! Another fabulous trip that is always eagerly anticipated and fiercely fought but in exactly the right way. Sportsmanship, friendship and laughter. Congratulations to the Bunkers Team.
