BUNKERS PRESENTS: THE EAGLE CLUB
Below is a list of members who have played well enough, or been lucky enough, to score eagles this season
andy roper
12th hole [par 4] - warrington g.c - 29/08/18
The 12th hole at Warrington Golf Club is a 241 yard risk and reward par 4 called "Temptation". Into a stiff breeze Andy elected to take a 3-wood and take the bunkers beside the green out of play. A sweetly his shot of about 225 yards left him with a chip into the green. A 56 degree wedge was selected for the task and with two bounces and a touch of 'check spin' the ball dropped 'dead weight' into the cup.

17th hole [par 5] - warrington g.c - 29/08/18
The 17th hole at Warrington Golf Club is a 493 yard par 5 that plays as the sixth hardest hole on the course. A demanding tee shot requires accuracy to leave you with a chance of attacking the green, with most players playing this as a genuine par 5 due to the water hazard just short of the green. Kev absolutely ripped a drive that finally stopped after about 340 yards! His 2nd shot was with a pitching wedge - which gives you an idea of how the hole was destroyed. However, he still had plenty of work left to do but after dropping the approach just 3 feet from the pin it was probably one of the easier finishes for eagle that he will have experienced. Superb.
ALLAN GANNON
hole in one [eagle]
2nd hole [par 3] - shaw hill g.c - 15/04/18
The 2nd Hole at Shaw Hill Golf Club was playing 152 yards down hill from the yellow tees with a stiff left to right crosswind.
With a wonderful swipe of his 8-iron, Allan sent the ball hole bound and it looked good from the moment it sailed off the tee.
It took one bounce on the green, skipped forward and hit the flag and wedged - with the top of the ball on view from the tee box.
As Allan stepped onto he green and began to walk toward the hole, he saw the ball drop to the bottom of the cup and the celebrations began on Bunkers 4th Hole in One since our inception. CONGRATULATIONS.
